Ritka jó zenék: Perczel György
Van olyan, hogy világszinvonal van, világhír meg nem. Mázli, ha az ember ilyesmire talál, bár azért nem könnyű megemészteni az ilyen karmát az érintettnek, annyi bizonyos. De ilyen lemezeket hallgatni nagyon jó kis elfoglaltság szombat este, mikor már hazament a lányom, és kiment a sábesz is. Szóval a gépben Perczel György George’s Blues-a. 23 esztendeje már, hogy jött egy lap a tatabányai jazz táborból, hogy van itt egy srác, úgy játszik, mint az isten, meg kéne ismernem… Aztán már csak a Budapesti Tanítóképző Főiskola különböző termeiben megtartott klubokra emlékszem, ahol Sopen (Tatabányán így keresztelték el) leckét adott nekünk világmindenségből. Jobb - rosszabb pianínókhoz, zongorákhoz ült le, és akadt olyan muzsikus, aki abba akarta hagyni a szakmát, miután őt meghallgatta, pedig maga sem volt tehetségtelen. Régen azt gondoltam, hogy megközelítően képes vagyok leírni, milyen az, amikor Sopen a billentyűk fölé hajol. De ma már tudom, csak dadogás a legjobb kísérlet is, ahhoz képest, amit ő tud.
Dacára annak, hogy Szakcsi lakatos Béla kedvenc tanítványa volt a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Főiskola Jazz Tanszakán, soha nem lett belőle az, aki lehetett volna. Hiába próbálta meg Kanadát, nem jött össze neki semmi jó belőle, igaz megtalálta Hamvas Béla írásait. Akad két - három lemeze, az egyikre, épp erre a George’s Blues-ra egy antikvárban akadtam rá, hónapokig hallgattam…
Ha valaki tudja, mi az hogy LÍRA, csak így csupa nagy betűvel, hát ő az. Olyan konok elszántsággal kerül minden túlzott cikornyát, hogy az már - már megható. Amit ő nem tud a jazz-ről, azt már nem is érdemes tudni. Valahogy nagyon nincs jól, hogy ezt csak ilyen kevesen tudjuk Perczel Györgyről…
